Playtech have launched a brand new Top Gun slot, just before the 30th anniversary of the classic film starring Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer.
The amazing graphics will literally ´Take Your Breathe Away´, with some very cool fast jets and even cooler Ice Man, Goose and lots of Ray Ban Aviators. The original film footage in the slot is fantastic and looks pretty cool even though it is nearly 30 years old. The 2-4-3 ways game is action packed with lots of features including multiple free spins alongside original film clips.
Tony Scott directed the original Paramount film released in 1986, with Tom Cruise in the lead role of Pete ´Maverick’ Mitchell, Anthony Edwards as his wingman Goose and Val Kilmer as ´Iceman´. It was a huge blockbuster, the biggest grossing movie in 1986, taking a massive $353,816,701 and turning Tom Cruise into a Hollywood Movistar.
The sound track is legendary, it´s one of the top 10 bestselling movie sound tracks with over 7 million copies sold, which means a brilliant sound track on the slot. ´Take My Breathe Away’ sung by Berlin won an Oscar and Golden Globe. Other classics on the sound track include Danger Zone and Playing with the Boys by Kenny Loggins, Miami Sounds Machine´s Hot Summer Nights and the classic Top Gun Anthem by Harold Faltermeyer and Steve Stevens.
Val Kilmer sent Top Guns fans into a frenzy earlier this week, announcing Top Gun 2 was on the cards, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring Gene Hackman. He back tracked the next day saying that it was still very early days, leaving lots of fans very disappointed and out of work Val Kilmer too probably! Top Gun 2 was written soon after the first film, but never made it to production as Tom Cruise was too expensive by then and the US Navy didn´t want its newest aircraft filmed.
